3 High-Yield, Low-Debt Financial Dividend Stocks Backed By ...

...

More ?

Even investors who normally shy away from the financial sector, may find themselves curious about financial dividend stocks that provide high yields. After all, investing in dividend stocks is a reliable way to add supplemental income and build wealth. Today we have a list of high-yielders that have two other characteristics that further their attractiveness: minimal debt and endorsement from industry analysts in terms of a "Buy" or better rating. These companies have maintained a solid infrastructure by not over utilizing debt to fund growth. Below you will find the short list of financial dividend stocks that we pulled together for your review.

The long term debt/equity ratio is a variation of the traditional debt-to-equity ratio; this value computes the proportion of a company's long-term debt compared to its available capital. By using this ratio, investors can identify the amount of leverage utilized by a specific company and compare it to others to help analyze the company's risk exposure. Generally, companies that finance a greater portion of their capital via debt are considered riskier than those with lower leverage ratios.

We first looked for financial stocks with a very high yield (more than 5%). Then we screened for businesses that analysts rate as "Buy" or "Strong Buy" (1 < mean recommendation < 3). We then looked for companies that operate with little to no long term debt (Long Term D/E Ratio<.1). We did not screen out any market caps.

Do you think these stocks are undervalued? Use our list to help with your own analysis.

Hal David, Legendary Songwriter, Dies At 91

LOS ANGELES ? Hal David, the stylish, heartfelt lyricist who teamed with Burt Bacharach on dozens of timeless songs for movies, television and a variety of recording artists in the 1960s and beyond, has died. He was 91.

David died of complications from a stroke Saturday morning at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to his wife Eunice David.

He had suffered a major stroke in March and was stricken again on Tuesday, she said.

"Even at the end, Hal always had a song in his head," Eunice David said. "He was always writing notes, or asking me to take a note down, so he wouldn't forget a lyric."

Bacharach and David were among the most successful teams in modern history, with top 40 hits including "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head," "(They Long to Be) Close to You" and "That's What Friends Are For." Although most associated with Dionne Warwick, their music was recorded by many of the top acts of their time, from Barbra Streisand to Frank Sinatra and Aretha Franklin. They won an Oscar for "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head" (from the movie "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid"), Grammys and Tonys for the songs from the hit Broadway musical "Promises, Promises."

David joined the board of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers in 1974 and served as president 1980 to 1986. He was head of the Songwriters Hall of Fame from 2001 to 2011, and was Chairman Emeritus at his death.

"As a lyric writer, Hal was simple, concise and poetic -- conveying volumes of meaning in fewest possible words and always in service to the music," ASCAP's current president, the songwriter Paul Williams, said in a statement. "It is no wonder that so many of his lyrics have become part of our everyday vocabulary and his songs... the backdrop of our lives."

In May, Bacharach and David received the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song during a White House tribute concert attended by President Barack Obama.

Bacharach, 83, thanked Obama, saying the award for his life's work topped even the Oscars and Grammys he won for individual projects. David could not attend because he was recovering from a stroke. Eunice David accepted on his behalf.

"It was thrilling," she said. "Even though he wasn't there, Hal said it was the highest honor he had ever received."

More than 55 years after their first songs hit the airwaves, Obama said "these guys have still got it." He noted their music is still being recorded by such artists as Alicia Keys and John Legend.

"Above all, they stayed true to themselves," Obama said. "And with an unmistakable authenticity, they captured the emotions of our daily lives ? the good times, the bad times, and everything in between."

David and Bacharach met when both worked in the Brill Building, New York's legendary Tin Pan Alley song factory where writers cranked out songs and attempted to sell them to music publishers. They scored their first big hit with "Magic Moments," a million-selling record for Perry Como.

In 1962 they began writing for a young singer named Dionne Warwick, whose versatile voice conveyed the emotion of David's lyrics and easily handled the changing patterns of Bacharach's melodies. Together the trio created a succession of popular songs including "Don't Make Me Over," "Walk On By," "I Say a Little Prayer," "Do You Know the Way to San Jose," "Trains and Boats and Planes," "Anyone Who Has a Heart," "You'll Never Get to Heaven" and "Always Something There to Remind Me," a hit in the 1980s for the synth pop band Naked Eyes.

Bacharach and David also wrote hits for numerous other singers: "This Guy's in Love with You" (trumpeter Herb Alpert in his vocal debut), "Make It Easy on Yourself" (Jerry Butler), "What the World Needs Now is Love" (Jackie DeShannon) and "Wishin' and Hopin'" (Dusty Springfield). They also turned out title songs for the movies "What's New, Pussycat" (Tom Jones), and "Wives and Lovers" (Jack Jones).

Singer Smokey Robinson praised David's musical legacy. "I hope that the music world will join together in celebrating the life of one of our greatest composers ever," he said.

In a 1999 interview, David explained his success as a lyricist this way: "Try and tell a narrative. The songs should be like a little film, told in three or four minutes. Try to say things as simply as possible, which is probably the most difficult thing to do."

The writer, who lived in New York, often flew to Los Angeles, where he and Bacharach would hole up for a few weeks of intense songwriting. Sometimes they conferred by long-distance telephone; "I Say a Little Prayer" was written that way.

David would recall working on a song that seemed to go nowhere. They stuck it in a desk drawer and left it there for months.

"This was particularly disappointing to me. I had thought of the idea at least two years before showing it to Burt," David wrote in a brief essay on his Web site, . "I was stuck. I kept thinking of lines like, `Lord, we don't need planes that fly higher or faster ...' and they all seemed wrong. Why, I didn't know. But the idea stayed with me. http://www.haldavid.com

"Then, one day, I thought of, `Lord, we don't need another mountain,' and all at once I knew how the lyric should be written. Things like planes and trains and cars are man-made, and things like mountains and rivers and valleys are created by someone or something we call God. There was now a oneness of idea and language instead of a conflict. It had taken me two years to put my finger on it."

And so they had another smash: "What the World Needs Now is Love"

The hit-making team broke up after the 1973 musical remake of "Lost Horizon." They had devoted two years to the movie, only to see it scorned by critics and audiences alike. Bacharach became so depressed he sequestered himself in his vacation home and refused to work.

Bacharach and David sued each other and Warwick sued them both. The cases were settled out of court in 1979 and the three went their separate ways. They reconciled in 1992 for Warwick's recording of "Sunny Weather Lover."

David, meanwhile, went on to collaborate successfully with several other composers: John Barry with the title song of the James Bond film "Moonraker;" Albert Hammond with "To All the Girls I've Loved Before," which Julio Iglesias and Willie Nelson sang as a duet; and Henry Mancini with "The Greatest Gift" in "The Return of the Pink Panther."

Born in New York City, David had attended public schools before studying journalism at New York University. He served in the Army during World War II, mostly as a member of an entertainment unit in the South Pacific. After the war, he worked as a copywriter at the New York Post, but music was his passion and he had written lyrics for Sammy Kaye, Guy Lombardo and other bandleaders before hooking up with Bacharach.

He married Anne Rauchman in 1947 and the couple had two sons.

Google Play's End of Summer Sale outed by discounted apps, lets the Lorax speak for the savings

Google Play's End of Summer Sale outed by discounted app descriptions, lets the Lorax speak for the savings

It looks like a handful of select apps have outed Mountain View's Labor day plans: Google Play's End of Summer Sale. SwiftKey 3, The Lorax -- Dr. Seuss, Square Enix's Crystal Defenders, and other apps are now brandishing deep discounts, almost uniformly attributing the savings to the End of Summer Sale. Not every title on discount claims to be part of the unannounced event, however -- Max Payne Mobile slashed its price by 67 percent without so much as a hint at the alleged festivities. Google hasn't made the event official just yet, but we'd be willing to wager the deals will run through the holiday weekend. Check out the source link below to start making the most of your Google gift cards.

Okay. when it -- come from behind a lot of penalties and other things went on today that your team kept focused all the way through the game. Are We Becoming A Lease Everything Society? - Finance Fox

for lease, leasing, renting, lease

Today is Thursday, August 30 2012, and you?re likely at work, not working today or coming home from work now. You woke up this morning in your rented apartment and went to work in your rented car and sat in your corner office or cubical that is rented by your employer. Lunch time comes around, and you go to the local sushi joint for quick takeout, and the Japanese father and son duo who make ridiculous fresh sushi are renting the 600 square foot facility from someone else. On your way home you stop at the corner store to pickup some bread from the guy who?s been renting the same space in the plaza for the last 15 years. You finally head back home to your rented apartment, and head to sleep, because at 7am the airport limo will be there to pick you up with a guy who barely speaks English and is driving a rented Ford provided by his employer. Two hours later, you jump on a rented airplane, and head off to NYC for your afternoon meeting. Then you repeat it all over again.

If you look closely in the above 150 words, I mentioned the word rent or some form of it seven times. Nearly everywhere we go, sit, eat, drink, work and sleep there?s some form of rent or another. You can rent anything today, a TV, a computer, a man, a woman, a boat, golf clubs, your office photo copier, cottage, housing, car and everything else in between. Nobody wants to take on the responsibility of full ownership, and instead more and more people want the convenience of ?I want it today?, but ?not tomorrow?.

It?s no surprise that there are as many commitment issues in dating and marriage. More people are having issues committing, why stick to someone for 15, 20, 30 or 40 years, when you can have a new flavor every month. Yes, it does sound pretty sick, but it?s true. Maybe those of you in long term relationships or marriage are oblivious, but dating today is a doggy-dog world.

Despite many things already available to rent for a given period of time, I always believe there?s room for improvement. Here are a few suggestions, and if you think that there?s some feasibility in any of them, holla at me and let?s launch a start-up. I got a few angel investors on horizon, so hopefully our combination of negotiation tactics are enough to persuade them.

Animal Rental

I know it may sound cruel upfront, but there could be a full fledged business behind the thinking. How often do pets get returned to the kennel within the first month? OFTEN! It?s because people don?t understand the commitment of a pet or because the parents gave into little Jenny to shut her up about whining about a dog. Only to realize that she has no interest in playing or walking the dog.? Well you can rent a dog for 6 months with a buy option. And if one day you get tired of it, you don?t have to pretend that you sent him out in the country side, and instead can bring him back within the six months.

CEO/CFO Rental

This one already exists for small companies. Instead of paying for a full time rubbish big honcho, you ?rent? a top of the range CFO for certain hours on a weekly or monthly basis. The thinking behind this idea is simple ? experience and connections for the small time players without long term commitment and being on the hook for LARGE annual bonuses.

Marriage Rental

Short term rental for those who are thinking of getting married in the future. The person interested in marriage would rent a temporary spouse (male or female) to live with them, and perform everyday living as a married couple. This would give the candidate a good glimpse of what marriage would be like on day-to-day, and if he or she is cut out for marriage at all. Maybe they don?t like sharing their king size bed or whatever. I know realistically there?s a lot more involved, but at least it?s some food for thought or a good laugh. OK! Give me some credit for trying..LOL :)

Date Rentals

Lets say you?ve got a big career and no time for a committed relationship, and are attending events, galas and dinners, but you?d like to be accompanied by someone. Well there?s a solution for that ? rent a date. It?s only for a night (weekends available), there?s no commitment, they dress, act, and say what you want them to say, and more importantly when it?s all over ? you go back to living your life and they go back to living theirs. And if you really dig this person (and they dig you), well we?ve got us a match made in heaven.I?m sure by now, you?re probably thinking one could bring a friend along, sure that?s creative thinking, but who want?s their friends knowing all their career business.

Readers, what do you think, are we slooooowwwly becoming a lease everything society?

Best,

Eddie
