In this position you will be responsible for planning and management of infection control surveillance, prevention, and control activities throughout the facility. Will also be the facilities expert practitioner, educator and consultant in acute care infection control and hospital epidemiology. Qualifications: - A Bachelor?s Degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in nursing, medical technology, health care sciences, or a closely related field.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional work experience in infection control in an acute care hospital setting or a closely related field.
- Certification in Infection Control is preferred.
- RN with current licensure in the State of Georgia, or Clinical Lab Technologist (MT/ASCP or equivalent) is preferred.
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge of principles and statistical methods relevant to disease identification, trends analysis, and control.
